The value of an investment with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.

The levels and bases of taxation, and reliefs from taxation, can change at any time. The value of any tax relief is generally dependent on individual circumstances.

How does it work?
It all starts with an initial conversation so that I can find out what it is you’re thinking about and if I am the right person to help you – so let me buy you a coffee or arrange a quick telephone call

If we have established that you would benefit from some formal advice, then I would look to do a ‘fact-find’ whereby we would book in a longer meeting (circa 60-90 minutes) in order for me to understand not only the ‘whats’ surrounding you, your family and plans but the ‘why’. It is the ‘whys’ that motivate us through life and imperative to know for a strong and robust plan. There is a strong emphasis on exploring what options and choices you have available to you in this meeting as it is this that will enable me to work effectively on your behalf.

Once we have done that meeting, the real hard work for me starts as I then research the best solutions from a number of carefully selected providers from the St. James’s Place panel. I then construct a plan that I believe will enable you to achieve your objectives best.

Once I have everything together and a plan to recommend, I then present the recommendation to you. Explaining in detail what, who, and why, including advantages and disadvantages. It is at this stage where I also explain very clearly and thoroughly any charges you would face should you wish to take my advice.

There are now 2 options:
You proceed with the recommendation: we sign the relevant paperwork and we have entered into a relationship in which you can contact me whenever you require some advice and you will benefit from an annual face to face meeting to explain past performance and review your current situation Vs the objectives you want to achieve.

You do not proceed with the recommendation: We part ways and you keep my details for future reference should your circumstances change and you wish to review.

Thank you 🙂
