Who Are we?
We are York’s first hair loss clinic specialising in scalp micropigmentation (SMP). SMP is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure for men and women and can be used to restore receding hairlines, to cover thinning hair, bald patches, surgical scars, or to simply add density to existing hair.
Hair loss is a condition faced by millions of people of which there are many causes including: age, hormonal imbalances, alopecia, medication, illnesses, cancer treatment and many more. Over-the-counter solutions, such as hair systems, scalp makeup and scalp ointments don’t always solve the problem, and the psychological effects of hair loss are well documented.
What we do?
derma.microtech uses an advanced technique to implant thousands of micro impressions into the scalp, in a precise pattern using a tiny needle at a depth of 1.5 – 2mm into the dermal layer. By replicating natural hair follicles, SMP provides an excellent way of reducing the contrast between hair and scalp. The treatment differs from any other micropigmentation procedure and requires a qualified and experienced SMP practitioner to deliver treatments safely and successfully.
